Life Moves Fast, Enjoy It & Simply Be Happy

{{brizy_dc_image_alt imageSrc=

I’ve spent 30 years of my life in the technology industry and as a military spouse with three children, all 17 months apart with high-functioning Autism, while my husband was deployed 6 out of 12 months a year. It was hard for me to hold a solid career having to move so much and with my husband deployed, so I essentially raised the children on my own while trying to establish a business reputation. This created a massive mental health crisis for me and I suffered greatly with Anxiety Panic Attacks. To make matters even more challenging, my husband is also on the Spectrum, so our relationship struggled due to lack of communication and empathy.

Now that my husband is retired and my kids are grown and into their 20s, life started to slow down a bit, but then my parents passed away and a tremendous emotional backlog brought my anxiety back to the surface. The questions of mortality cross my mind and what I have or have not done with my life weigh heavily on my shoulders. I’m 52 and although young, I struggle with Stage 3 Cervical Disk Disease which sometimes locks my mobility up and takes away the joys of my daily hobbies, such as going for long walks, playing video games, sewing and typing stories.

Katnip & Coffee is my cozy get away. To re-assure myself and others that life doesn’t mean fulfilling a goal or a destiny, life is just life … it’s every moment, every sound, every sight, every smell, every sunrise and sunset that you are missing.
